Zombie Army Trilogy won’t be winning any rewards for innovation any time soon. It will most likely not get any best game of the year awards either. It might have a few faults such as a questionable lobby system and a plethora of useless weapons, but that doesn’t stop it from being really fun to play. It’s creepy and challenging, but most importantly, just a lot of mindless zombie killing fun. It’s a title you can happily kick into your rotation of games to play with friends.

In all, Zombie Army Trilogy adds a new campaign for those looking for a bit more longevity out of the series, and it does so with some nice new features out of the gate. However, for those looking for something different out of the series, unless you’re really really wanting to play horde mode or a new to the series, you might be best looking elsewhere.

In summary Zombie Army Trilogy is an arcade-style offering about shooting zombies in the head. It's built around co-op play and will likely underwhelm a solo player. That said, it's still not a great game even if you're playing in a group; it's more about the people you're playing with, not the quality of the overall experience. ...Just don't expect to be blown away by the graphics or the story, and don't expect a Sniper Elite game with zombies, because this isn't that.
