Timothy and the Mysterious Forest is a mix of old-school Game Boy graphics, meta-narrative, stealth system and action combat with an high difficulty level. Elements from adventure/exploration games are mixed with puzzle and stealth: exploration, reading and keeping a slow pace is the best tactic. Multiple endings!

L'avventura nella Foresta Misteriosa è gradevole e ha il suo pregio maggiore nel riportare alla mente le emozioni che si provavano col Game Boy originale. Il suo aspetto decisamente antiquato è sia il suo punto di forza che la sua più grande debolezza, mirando fondamentalmente solo a quei giocatori che possono apprezzare il richiamo al passato.
