Combat was outdated upon release in 2015 and by today's standards is mediocre at best. The plot was uncompelling and uninteresting. The protagonist, Geralt, is the most boring and dull character I've ever encountered. Mute protgonists have more charisma and charm than Geralt. The game has some of the most toxic and biased fans I've ever encountered. If you suggest even a minor criticism toward their beloved witcher series youre automatically deemed a fortnite playing child. The fans fail to acknowledge its many and evident shortcomings which is why i must rate this game as a 0 as its current rating is way too high. I would personally give it a 6 or 7 out of 10 because there are interesting enemies and many different possible outcomes, but everything it does just feels generic. However, you also cannot deny the amount of content it is packed with but when the overrall combat is so bad it makes ubisoft games look polished and the story isnt gripping nor enticing whatsoever it just isnt that great. I apologize in advance to the delusional fanboys but a masterpiece this game is not, by any stretch of the imagination. To put this simply, the best part of the game is Gwent.

While everything is very well voiced, much of the dialogue suffers in the translation. Sometimes characters will start saying things that don’t really make much sense given the context. The music, however, is excellent. The Witcher, in all its facets, screams quality. There are a few places where ambition exceeds feasibility, and it’s quickly becoming apparent that there’s not a lot of wiggle room left within the genre, but The Witcher delivers one of the most intense and rewarding role-playing experiences this year.
The Witcher really is a good game and one that PC RPG fans will surely enjoy. It combines some entertaining and fast-paced combat with a well realized world and pretty decent story that branches and can end in three different fashions. With a load of choice in character creation on a point assignment and morality level, there's plenty of reason to want to come back and play the 40-50 hour game again.
Memorable story, immersive combat, fascinating characters--what's not to like? A few fit-and-finish issues mean that The Witcher isn't quite an all-time classic RPG. Regardless, it's awfully, awfully close, warts and all, and it provides a new benchmark for future developers that are looking to lift their games out of the done-to-death elf-and-orc ghetto.
