The Witcher Adventure Game is a faithful translation of a mildly fun tabletop experience saddled with simplistic, repetitive objectives. Learning the strategies behind playing each of the four heroes is where the fun lies, though it often feels like you’re just playing alongside other players - not against them.

This might have been easier if The Witcher Adventure Game had a save feature, but no such option exists; if you have to close the game for any reason there’s no way to resume your progress. ...Having a quick-save option, especially on mobile versions where you prefer playing for ten minute sessions, would be ideal for players who want to play longer games but can’t commit the full amount of time.

Losing by a few points because you made some mistakes isn’t nearly as heart-wrenching as losing because your best friend decided to attack you on what was once a peaceful border. This is a great game for friends and family to pass some time with, whether you’re scattered across the world or conveniently located at home. Do yourself a favour and pick up a copy or four, there are monsters to be slain and victories to be had!
