Summary

It's been 6 months since Dubai was wiped off the map by a cataclysmic sandstorm. Once the world's most fantastical city, Dubai is now its most opulent ruin. Ravaged by cataclysmic sandstorms, the city lies buried, reclaimed by the desert. Abandoned, it has become a no-man's-land for refugees and outlaws. While most people fled the now-barren wasteland, U.S. Army Colonel John Konrad and the 33rd Infantry remained behind to protect those incapble of escape. Unable to contact anyone in Dubai, the world believed Konrad and his team dead, until they picked up a weak distress signal. As Captain Walker, you and your squad of Delta Operators infiltrate the trecherous region to locate survivors.

it's really good game. it has realy good graphic, really great story, really gives you good shooting experience. and the landscapes and the places. stormy dubai is really beautiful. i loved how sand comes in the windows when your shooting on them, and breaking them.

it was not easy. i was playing dark souls at the same time, and both games was saying when u were dyeing "you died". it was funny

One of the most under-rated games. The gameplay and the storyline is quite good and interesting. The most important thing this game offered, is the ability to decide what to do at some point; that can literally make you the villain for bad decisions.

Overall, the game is very short but interesting to follow the story events from start to end.

This was a really fun game in my books, maybe its because i was able to play the career mode with a friend via LAN (Co-op). Great story, Acceptional Graphics, great gameplay what more could you ask for?

The disconnect between the gameplay and the narrative elements of Spec Ops: The Line is numbing, which makes it more difficult to contemplate the murky morality of war in the way the game wants you to. There are some intriguing things to be teased out of your adventure through the lovely ruins of Dubai, but the contrast between ambition and execution makes the experience as unsteady as the shifting sands.

Should you buy Spec Ops: The Line? Well, it’s the usual yes and no. Yes if you enjoy the setting and like the idea of a descent into the madness of a buried city, but no if you’re fed up of cover-based, Unreal 3 engine-powered shooters. If you get it, you can force your way through the carnage to get to the more interesting nuggets of non-shooting. You won’t be disappointed if you do stump up the cash, but neither will you be fisting the air with glee at having made an inspired purchase. It’s alright, basically.

Fast möchte ich Spec Ops dafür verfluchen, dass es spielerisch eher durchschnittlich bleibt, während es mich auf Storyseite so sehr beeindruckt hat wie kein anderer Titel in den letzten Monaten. Jedoch unterstützte diese Schere für mich letztlich dann wieder nur das Erleben. Kaum hatte ich dank einer ausufernden Ballerei vergessen, in welch prekärer Situation ich mich befand, stürzte mich das Spiel nach der Kampfeinlage schonungslos wieder zurück in den nächsten ungefilterten Horror.
