Pros:

- Terrifying

- Addicting

Cons:

- Underrated (this game is amazing)

If you play this game all the way through, you will most likely handle any horror game in the future. Capcom needs to make more first person horror games similar to this one. Regardless, I love the Resident Evil franchise.

Dont listen to IGN reviews

This is in my opinion the scariest installment of RE, after the 4th one.

Even after RE2 coming out recently and an absolute hit, the fact that this is a first person game makes it more scary. The graphics are beautiful and gruesome, awesome DLCs, story is nice too. A must have collection if you are a horror enthusiast

Resident Evil 7’s final round of DLC feels like a step backward. While both Not a Hero and End of Zoe are competently built, they replace the genuine horror and more nuanced characters of the main game with schlocky action and dumb wish fulfillment. The worst thing that can be said about Not a Hero and End of Zoe is that they leave me feeling uncertain about the future of the series. Let’s hope Capcom hasn’t already forgotten how to do Resident Evil right again.

Resident Evil 7 truly delivers an experience unlike anything I’ve even been exposed to in the gaming world. It’s fresh, unique, a little bit nostalgic, and downright stressful to play... in a good way. Capcom has taken some seriously impressive strides forward in the franchise and has potentially rescued it from fading into obscurity though this distinct and highly effective new point of view. Resident Evil is back and it will grip your from start to finish until you can’t possibly take anymore.

Resident Evil 7 is a confident attempt at reinvention. But it’s the way it channels the older games, particularly the first, that really makes it great. It takes an industrial pressure washer to the series, blasting off years of accumulated filth and grime. And you’re left with a lean, polished survival horror that borrows from its legacy, but isn’t afraid to look to modern horror games for inspiration too.
