Prince of Persia is a wonderful and nearly magical game. It’s not very long but it’s long enough, as it will entail around 10-14 hours of continuous platforming and fighting, even if you don’t try to pick up the 1001 Seeds of Light. The flow and excitement of the gameplay as well as the dramatic visual style will get you hooked for hours to come. I doubt there will be many people who don’t like it, as it’s equally engaging for players and viewers sitting next to you.

While a few unlockable skins may not seem like enough reason to return, this game is so enjoyable and delightful that you may want to return to it as you would return to a favorite fantasy novel or film. While its lack of challenge may lull fans, its ease of use will delight newcomers and draw in anyone who appreciates a touch of magic.

Prince of Persia is a great, but flawed game. On the one hand it's fast, fun, and pretty. On the other it's not really for anyone who wants a big challenge in their gaming. It certainly could have used another difficulty level and a bit more length. Still, when you really get into swinging around the beautifully rendered world at high speeds, it's hard to care so much about the lack of difficulty. If you are looking for something light, fun, fast, and beautiful to give you a break from the flood of shooters and bloody action games, you could do a lot worse than Prince of Persia.
