Anyway, if you’re someone who wants your pinball pure and unsullied by all this horrid leveling folderol, you can play Pinball FX3 in a mode with separate leaderboards. I forget what they call that mode. Pure Single Player. Classic Single Player. Old Fashioned Single Player. Single Player Lite. Something like that. I haven’t tried it because why would I want fewer points when I play a table? Besides, all my friends are playing on the regular leaderboards, so I need to prove to them that I’m not going to let this leveling nonsense get in the way of a higher score on whatever table they’re beating me on.

Die Zen Studios machen einem den Umstieg leicht: Die Basis von Pinball FX3 mitsamt dem Tisch Sorcerer’s Lair ist gratis. Und 65 Tische aus Zen Pinball 2 bzw. Pinball FX2 können ebenfalls umsonst importiert werden – wenngleich der Import nicht über Systemgrenzen hinweg möglich und etwas umständlich ist.

Pinball FX3 ci mette a disposizione un tavolo a titolo gratuito e può contare su miglioramenti tecnici tutt'altro che radicali ma evidenti. Non mancano inoltre alcune novità come sfide e abilità che aggiungono una dinamica di progressione diversa dall'ovvia ricerca del miglior punteggio possibile. Ma le ombre non mancano tra minigiochi non sempre ispirati, tre soli tavoli inediti, retrocompatibilità parziale e novità tutt'altro che trascendentali che, almeno nel caso dei power-up, sono destinate a irritare più di un purista.
