Outbreak è un survival horror che prova a darsi una facciata dura e impegnativa e, in un certo qual modo, riesce nell’obiettivo. La necessità di dover razionare le risorse, studiare le proprie mosse e sfuggire ai nemici potrebbe appassionare i giocatori nostalgici dei survival horror di qualche tempo fa; allo stesso tempo, le evidenti limitazioni nel combat system e nelle dinamiche di movimento, oltre che a una severità probabilmente eccessiva nel sistema di posizionamento casuale dei nemici, restituiscono una certa delusione.
