Nowhere Prophet is a roguelike deck-building game. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by indian culture and sci-fi literature. In this broken world you lead a desperate band of outcasts in their search for a safe, new home. On your travels through the procedurally generated wasteland you encounter strange people and mysterious places. You will run into difficult situations and dangerous battles. These fights are resolved with a tactical turn-based card game. If you survive you can recruit followers, find loot and level up to improve your deck to better face the rising challenges ahead.

As a lover of strategy card games, I was extremely pleased by Nowhere Prophet and am excited to go back to it again. It has everything you’d want from a card game: combat, strategy and a huge plethora of options for your decks. It can be very difficult to begin with until you’ve mastered the game’s rules, which may initially turn some players away, but stick with it and you’ll find an excellent adventure lying in wait.
Nowhere Prophet is a single player, deckbuilding roguelike that manages to balance each of its system to create interesting, engaging and unique stories. While it isn't without faults, its complexity and intrugiue make it something you'll keep coming back to.
Reading this review, it might be easy to come to the conclusion that I dislike Nowhere Prophet but that’s not completely true. I love the music, the electro-Indian soundtrack is so wonderfully unique and gives the journey such a magnificent texturing. The various factions with their distinctive styles, like the Blue Devils that voluntarily allow themselves to become infected and die young in order to become more powerful.
