On the presentation side of things, MotoGP 20 offers up solid 3D models of the real-life riders and they can be seen in the pre-race cutscenes along with the decidedly lower fidelity NPCs in the staging areas. These non-gameplay shots are a welcome addition though and do help to give the proceedings the vibe you’d expect from a AAA sports title.
When it comes to getting your bike around the track, Milestone has done an excellent job of creating a believable simulation of MotoGP racing. Since you aren’t able to physically feel the forces acting upon your body and bike, it is paramount to recreate those feelings through audio and visual cues in-game, and MotoGP 20 does this to great effect, especially when you play in one of the first-person views.
MotoGP 20 is easily the best two-wheeled racer out there, with modes and settings to suit all players and a career mode that lets you rise through the ranks from Moto 3 or jump straight into the saddle of a MotoGP beast, with the eventual goal to be the MotoGP champion. However you choose to play, the handling model is incredibly smooth and the AI offers an impressive (if sometimes overly aggressive) challenge as you fight for position.
