Megaquarium is everything you expect from a building sim the added bonus of camera movement that enhances your entire experience. Being able to pan your view around every tank and customer, tilt the screen to build in a way that you specifically enjoy whether it be side-angle or top-down adds to your experience. It is always a pleasure when developers add immersion possibilities like this to your simulated building game.
So some of its systems are a little obtuse or would benefit from a bit of post-release tweaking but none of that got in the way of me properly losing myself in Megaquarium’s little world. The building is simple but fun, letting you shape your venue, but ultimately not distracting from the main draw: curating and caring for the fish.
Megaquarium invites you to have a good time learning how to run your own aquarium with the various different mechanics going on in its game. You learn plenty, and when you the spend the time getting to know what you need to do to run your own establishment, everything falls into place -- don't ever feel too pressured!
