Durge and La’Metoy, powerful dimensional guardians, had dedicated their lives to protecting the realm from the invading forces of Xel’Xan’s robot army. During the last invasion, La'metoy was severely injured in the battle and knew that she was going to die. She made a difficult decision to transfer her powers to Durge so that he could defeat the army and the entity and push them back. With her last breath, she gave her powers to Durge and passed away. He defeated XelXan’s army and pushed them back into their dimension.

Durge was heartbroken and tired from guarding the world for over a millennia. He decided it was time to go dormant and pass on the mantle to his son Dreeg. Durge transferred most of his powers to Dreeg and then went into a deep slumber, passing into his own parallel universe alone.
