Summary

When it’s all said and done Warmind left me feeling mixed. It’s hard to be overly excited about, but alongside the Season 3 update it has made a lot of positive changes and hints at how Bungie plans to handle its sandbox. The only way to earn your entry to the Raid Lair or Escalation Protocol events is via grinding in the Raid or weekly activities.

I feel like releasing this expansion was a mistake on Bungie's part. After stringing fans along with disappointment after disappointment, there recently seemed like there was a light at the end of the tunnel and Bungie was starting to listen to what its community wanted. However, Warmind is a big let-down that threatens to wipe out any sort of enthusiasm for the game that might be left.

Destiny 2: Warmind tries to do just enough to appeal to hardcore Destiny 2 fan base and doesn't seem to have enough for casual Destiny player or anyone who may have fallen off the franchise. From the brief campaign to the tedious level grind, it's hard to Destiny 2's second expansion full-on recommendation.
