Arcade fans are in for a treat as The Vasara Collection is now up for digital pre-orders on the Switch.
The Vasara collection is an upcoming Switch game that’s due release this August 15th on the Nintendo eShop. It will contain the two acclaimed shoot ‘em up games from the turn of the century, Vasara and Vasara 2.
Availing of the pre-order will grant purchasers a 50% discount on the bundle. That’s a bargain price for a port that will come with an exclusive new game mode that offers Widescreen and 4-player local co-op support.
Vasara is an arcade shoot ‘em up that takes place in the intersection of history and science fiction. Set in an alternate Feudal Japan, you must stop the Tokugawa takeover by fighting against their many warlords using flying motorcycles and deadly melee weapons.
Its main features include vertical mode support, 8 playable characters based on actual historical figures, and options for heavy, skill-based gameplay for shmup experts and easy modes for beginners.
The Vasara Collection is also up for release on the PC via Steam, Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita, though no release dates have been confirmed.
