Mythgard Announces First Competitive Season for 2021 with $20,000 Prize Pool

Mythgard from Rhino Games Inc. is currently one of the highest-rated card games on Steam, and since its launch in 2019, the game is gearing up for its first competitive season coming in the next year.

As announced by Rhino Games, the competitive season for Mythgard is set to start in January 2021, and the winner has a chance to win $20,000. The season will be broken down into six ranked ladder seasons and six qualification tournaments. To qualify for the Mythgard World Championship, players can compete in ranked ladder matches or individual qualification tournaments.

The top 16 players will then get a chance to compete for the $20,000 prize pool and the Mythgard World Championship is expected to be held in December 2021. Let’s hope the worldwide pandemic will be a thing of the past by then.

While fantasy and card games are two things that go hand-in-hand, there has been these recent interest with modern fantasy with movies like Bright and Disney Pixar’s Onward. Mythgard also looks to be playing in the same ballpark, with fantasy elements coming together with the modern world. With great reviews and an interesting new setting, Mythgard is sure something to check out.

Mythgard is now playable for iOS, Android, and PC. The first competitive season starts this coming January with the World Championship expected to be held in December 2021.
