There are too many great games on the Nintendo Switch as its almost at the end of its lifetime, and to pass on the torch for the successor for the next Nintendo console. Games are a great way to immerse in a target language. It's a whole world where you'll need a working understanding of the language to proceed. If you already have a bit of a vocabulary, these games that might help you practice. 

My focus for this list was to offer immersion in Spanish, my target language. I've also provided game links either to the platform I played it on or. I included some games that I haven't played yet, but have been suggested by other language learners. 

Some of these will also offer other language packs. You'll have to find out yourself if the games provide your target language.

I absolutely love Dota 2 and Mobile Legends! These games offer endless hours of strategic gameplay and intense competition, allowing me to explore different characters and roles while testing my skills against other players. There's something incredibly satisfying about pulling off the perfect move or making the right decision that can turn the tide of a match. Whether I'm playing alone or with friends, these games always keep me coming back for more. I can't imagine ever getting tired of the excitement and challenge they provide. Dota 2 and Mobile Legends truly have a special place in my heart!

All time faves

Long games with no substance suck, but long games with a powerful finale can make up for every moment you spent trudging through its numerous chapters. You could say that these games make you feel 'empty' once the credits roll.

Here are my top picks of games that take a hundred or more hours to finish, but with a good emotional payoff at the end.

Note that this list is exclusively for single-player games. Adding live-service games would defeat its purpose.

Music makes games more memorable. Which is why I'm making this list to showcase my favorite videogames with an amazing soundtrack. 



From the melodic orchestra's of Kingdom Hearts, to the upbeat electronica of Neon White, these are games that can keep that earworm wriggling.

For [The Wolf Among Us](https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-wolf-among-us/) and [The Lion's Song](https://whatoplay.com/android/the-lions-song/), they provide different dialogue and action options but no matter your choice, it ultimately won't affect the outcome of the story. 

[Late Shift](https://whatoplay.com/pc/late-shift/) is an FMV or basically an interactive movie. 

[Heavy Rain](https://whatoplay.com/pc/heavy-rain/) and [Detroit Become Human](https://whatoplay.com/pc/detroit-become-human/) have the same gameplay style and feel because they were developed by the same developer, Quantic Dream. It contains QTEs and exploration but most of the time focuses on the story/cutscenes.

[The Stanley Parable ](https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-stanley-parable/)is a walking simulator with several multiple endings that feels the most fresh and unique even after having already completed other play-throughs.
