Planet Quest

Ironically, then, Planet Quest is perhaps most profound in its total lack of profundity. The gusto with which it sets out to send no message, but rather play the part of a perfect, tactile distraction, might be a message in of itself. A zany, infectious argument for the power and purity of play. Or maybe it’s just a phenomenal rhythm game. What do I know? I just write book reports about toys.

Planet Quest is probably one of the worst, most generic titles I’ve seen slapped onto a game in a long time. Quite frankly, it does this game a disservice. Upon booting up Planet Quest, players are presented with something ultra colorful, charming, and tons of fun. As a rhythm game, it has a fantastic soundtrack and a good sense of challenge, making it stand out among the best in its genre.

The presentation is fantastic and the gameplay just works on a pure level. I think that's just about the best thing any rhythm game can aspire to, and makes for what is easily one of the best games in the genre on mobiles.

Though it doesn't bring anything new to either genre, Planet Quest is a quirky and charming blend of rhythm action and one-tap done right.

Con origini italiane, sede in Inghilterra e una formazione di stampo internazionale, OutOfTheBit ha finora realizzato adattamenti di giochi di carte o da tavolo, e solo di recente ha provato a sperimentare nuove strade con il running game Sound Ride o il titolo competitivo Anima.
