'm not sure who's to blame for all of this, but the end result is the same either way. Fightback is a game that will let you have some fun, but for only less than ten minutes at a time, and only if your character's stats and gear are up to date. It has great presentation, engaging gameplay, and it does everything in its power to keep you from enjoying either one.

That's really Fightback in a nutshell. It's a fun game, it's an amusing game, but it never leaves me craving more. Like a cheesy “B” movie, certain people will have a good time laughing at (or with?) it, but experiencing it once will be more than enough for most

Fightback is a waste of time and money. As a full premium game for a buck or two, it could have been a decent brawler to pass the time with. But as it stands, you're going to be waiting to play it more than actually playing it. At the end of the day, this is just another depressing chapter in the book of Ninja Theory.

Overall, Fightback is bringing the side-scrolling beat-em-up up to date and to the forefront again. It's brutal, fun, and shamelessly cheesy, making for a game that manages to keep its replay value despite its repetitive gameplay. If players can look past the constant pestering regarding in-game currency they'll find a great, content-packed game behind it all.

So, Fightback is a bit of hit and miss. If the focus on spending money in the game doesn’t offend you, this is a well-down classic-style brawler that really tries to make the most of its platform. It looks great and the combat system is superb. There’s a ton of repetitive grinding as well– especially if you don’t want to spend cash—but overall, we still had plenty of fun taking down thugs.

It may not leave a profound impression on your soul, but it will sure fill your gaming stomach in the interim. There’s a lot of junk out there that isn’t worth the time of day, but Fightback delivers a few more punches than expected.

This is the game that finally made touchscreen brawlers work, and it pains me to tell you that you shouldn't play it.
