Crisp visuals, a fantastic soundtrack, and an impressive campaign make Dust: An Elysian Tail easily the best Summer of Arcade release thus far, clearly ending the promotion with a bang. If you're looking for an RPG with old-school sensibilities to spend a weekend or two on, Dust must not be missed.

The developer clearly took the needs of the platform into account, providing all kinds of options that make sense for mobile players, but without compromising an inch on the gameplay. This is one of the best games I've played on iOS this year, which I suppose is Shaun-speak for "go buy this game now, friends".

Dust can be frustrating to play on a touch screen - at least on the harder difficulties. Controller support is coming though and there's little else to complain about. Get this game. It's special.

It might not have the precision of its console counterparts, and that's a shame, but if you only play on mobile, or you don't have any other device to play the game on, it's still well worth a look. In the end this is very much a game reshaped to fit on a platform it's not really designed for. And while it's not perfect, it's a pretty good attempt.
