It's occasionally frustrating that CSR Classics is so keen to tout its business. While the gameplay is undoubtably grind-focused it's entertaining to dive into and progress gradually, unlocking new items each step of the way. This time around, at least more progress can be made before things turn very stilted.
As with most free racing titles, the number of up-shift competitions are limited to a specific number (which refill over time unless you're willing to actually pay money). But if you're willing to pay money, you might as well should spend it on getting a better racer. And no, not the premium rides you can buy in CSR Classics, I mean a better racer.
Maybe the first game with its shiny new cars satisfied your drag racing fix, and that’s okay. But classic is cool, and CSR Classics doesa pretty nice job getting that point across. Rev it up and let’s race, daddy-o!
If you're okay with playing a game that's very like CSR Racing then CSR Classics is a must-have. It's still a very well-produced, very moreish title that you'll want to check in on regularly, but a paucity of truly fresh content holds it back from achieving true greatness.
