Great game beat it a while back need to get back in for the dlc

Love this game

one of the best games ive ever played. this game was unfairly hated imo. granted it wasnt quite ready to be released when it did, but now its fine. sure on PC its better, but i still had a blast. the game is only woke if you make it woke, you dont have to. nothing is forced on you. you can play as a straight guy if you want. there is one vehicle with a trans flag, but you can opt out of that mission. it was a fun game. hacking was lame though. better to be a shooter or swordbro for the gameplay.

still fun on PS4 slim

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 started as a buggy game, but at its current state im highly recommending this game, solid story btw.

I constantly ridiculed this game on its release. Sharing memes of its bugs and failures to friends was a blast.

And then Netflix released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, I had to check it out.
After watching Edgerunners, I decided to wait for the Edgerunner update to see if perhaps they might iron out most of the bugs.
And when I tried it, sadly, the game was still riddled with game-breaking bugs. I'm talking about bugs that can soft-block you from finishing the game. yeah, that bad.

So, TLDR, my review will be based on the exact version I played Cyberpunk 2077 which is the Edgerunners update.

PROS:

1. The game has an interesting cast of characters.
2. Its got interesting weapons to roll around with whatever build you want to play with. Want a build that focuses on smart shotguns? You can do that.
3. Most missions are fun, especially the cyberpsycho missions and the companion missions.
4. The music. Bro, the music is amazing. Here's an example, still stuck in my head after not playing this game in ages. There is a scene in which V has to choose whether to let go of Johnny in his head, and then the Cello plays and swells up during the scene. It was just mind-blowingly good and surreal. It gives you the feel of that scene and it puts you in V's place. Extremely well put. If you are curious, the soundtrack for that particular scene is "Been good to know ya". You can just search in Youtube for the OST. Superb!
5. Combat is great. I played a Smart Shotgun build and I just steamrolled everything.

CONS

1. Nightcity is kinda bland. Its not that memorable compared to other open world games. Hell, even the outskirts tend to be more fun to explore than the city itself.
2. Unsatisfying endings.
3. Very limited builds and weapons. Yes, I did say they are fun. But sadly, very limited.
4. YOU CAN'T GO CYBERPSYCHO!!! WHAT!? I want to be a Cyberpsycho. I want to fully deck V out with the best of the best cyberware. Turn berserk and wreck stuff. I wanted my V to be a walking cyber freak that's like 80 percent mech. Arms open up to be gatling guns and howitzers and...I don't know...gain thrusters out off my ass and propel from one place to another like a fighter aircraft. Hahaha! Anything. Oh well. Disappointing!
5. BUGS! BUGS GALORE! Theres so many I could hardly remember all but I remember one bug that made me try numerous experiments to figure a way around it. Its the Delamain mission where you have to find the other Delamain cars. There is a section where a truck will spawn on top of my Delmain car and just destroy it. Crazy!

And that's about it. I enjoyed the game. I still think its a mess. I might try the latest version since I've heard that they ironed out most of the bugs. All in all, its worth a buy. Just get it on sale , so you can save for Phantom Liberty.
