  • This is a fast and (in a cartoon style) gloriously violent game. It looks great and has numerous levels of complexity and depth making it a challenging yet ultimately very satisfying experience.

Dressed in a beautiful art design and coupled with a Tarantino-esque tale, Paper Cult elevates its murderous mayhem with an intriguing world. Aside from some slippery nuisances in certain level designs, and a somewhat predictable ending to the otherwise fun story, Paper Cult has crafted a bloody fun time.

  • Bloodroots presents an amazing combat sandbox and then forces players into rote memorization of the developer's set path. No amount of Samurai Jack styling can make that fun.

  • Bloodroots is still incredibly satisfying when you’re eventually successful. At its highest heights, you’ll find your way around, bouncing from weapon to weapon, kill to kill, to string together a perfect run. Better yet, there are so many ways to approach each area that, no matter how well you do, you can always do it better, faster, crazier.

  • If you love Hotline Miami and are after an experience that’s similar but faster-paced, by all means give Bloodroots a try. You’ll probably like it. If you have access to a PS4 or PC, however, you should probably pick it up on one of those formats instead.

  • Bloodroots really is an amazing little title that frantically bounces you between frustration and accomplishment in the most entertaining way possible. It’s one-shot-kill keeps the action going nonstop, even when you’re the one being taken out, again, and again, and again.

  • Maybe the fairest thing I can say about playing Bloodroots is that it's a bit like looking after a dog. Not a well-behaved one, mind—a right mongrel. It's daft, loud, and I know that under all that grime and matted fur is a complex beast I want to love. But damn, if it isn't an exhausting thing to keep around the house.

  • Bloodroots is a charmingly written tale of revenge. Although its story lacks originality, it makes up for it in vast weapon variety and satisfying yet challenging gameplay that keeps you coming back for more.

  • Bloodroots is a manically fun game that oozes style. Discovering new and unique ways to use the extremely varied arsenal to my advantage kept me coming back again and again. Even when I died (and believe me, I died plenty), I was thoroughly enjoying myself. If you're in the mood for a fast, stylish action game with plenty of challenge, Bloodroots might be just what you're looking for.

  • If you are looking for a deep interactive narrative and a complex gameplay loop then I’d also advise you to pass on this. Like Ape Out or Redeemer, the core gameplay loop here is about cathartic fun and creative destruction. The environmental objects, changing challenges, and chaotic action mean that while there is only one button to attack, that rarely gets old.

You as a woodmens being out for Revenge on a Wolfgang who left you for dead. Going through different levels and making progress to kill the people who left you for dead. Each level there's alot of random stuff on the ground. What's different about this game is that you shot one anyone and you get one shot. Take anything. Weapons. Carrot Chain Chomper Firework Flamingos Warhammer Scythe Spittoon Sword Hatchet And A trillion more (no,not really) Some levels are very hard. The more you play you'll see different types of enemys. (Spoiler Free) There'll be a crossbow dude. a fast, furious, and fun action game. You can also chain attacks and when the combo goes up, your player movement speed increases. Making it cooler and sometimes harder. BUGS Bugs where the enemy i hit doesn't die Enemy inside the wall and can't be hit Sometimes the ai walk through the map Some people complain that the game doesn't start on their Xbox series X|S Overall the story is decent, But prepare to rage as it can get very difficult.
