It Takes TwoPS5
Fortunately, the variety of gameplay mechanics it adds to every chapter keeps everyone entertained, plus the humor and the comical Dr. Hakim makes the entire playthrough fun. The development might have been challenging for Hazelight but they managed to pull through and make a co-op game that’s equally stunning, wisely executed with an emotionally driven story, and exquisite.
Persona 5 StrikersPS4
Persona 5 Strikers is a game that will have you playing it for hours on end. A game that expands the Persona 5 mythos and is a welcome addition for those who want more adventures with the Phantom Thieves. If you are a fan of the game, there should be no hesitation on your part to get this game and enjoy it.
Little Nightmares IIPS4
Little Nightmares II is a sequel that everyone can love especially those die-hard fans of the franchise. You’re still greeted with unexpected threats lurking in every dark corner, the uneasy feeling you get when you walk through corridors and windows, and the unexpected twist at the end.
Destruction AllStars can be memorable but it’s not one of those exclusive launch games that would make an impact. I’m afraid that with the content Destruction AllStars has to offer, it will not be enough for players to stay and play for a long time, the game needs more horsepower to convince PS5 owners to buy it after it’s out of PlayStation Plus.
I don’t think it should be longer than it should be as well as I feel like more would just probably make you want to stop playing it. The amount of puzzles is just enough to make you feel you have accomplished an impossible task. I’m sure some will argue the puzzles are easy but I daresay otherwise.
It isn’t a bad game. Far from it. There were several intense moments that spooked me and imagery that piqued my interest. It just a niche experience that doesn’t really wind up being memorable.
Much like Agent 47, Hitman 3 appeals to those willing to craft their skills to perfection. Mastering every level can require thorough exploration of the environment and a grasp of how NPC’s behave. If you’re one of those who crave that experience, then Hitman 3 has our full recommendation.
Combining dull combat with tedious enemies and a predictable storyline, Torchlight 3 generally falls flat in the long history of fantasy action RPGs. There can be fun here with a group of friends just dipping their toes in the genre, but other than that you’re best suited to spending your time elsewhere.
It all comes down to the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that’s broken, inconsistently written and immature. That would be forgivable if the game was great, but in truth it isn’t much more than the sum of its borrowed parts.
It’s not about having the “powerful” hardware that can run games at native 8K, but it’s the number of games that can give us meaningful, interesting worlds and gameplay. The PlayStation 5 has that and with Astro’s Playroom, you’ll have an idea what Sony has to offer in the next couple of years.
Empire of SinPS4
I can’t for the life of me recommend Empire of Sin without giving it more time to iron out its issues. Gameplay-wise, it is quite enjoyable, but that enjoyable aspect gets drowned out in all the issues it has. Wait for them to fix the game until you decide to get it, and possibly a free story expansion with more icons to play with.
Immortals: Fenyx RisingPS4
It’s a very fantastic way of closing off a fantastic game. I had an incredible time playing this game, and I can say with confidence that if you enjoy RPGs that put forth exploration and have great campaigns, you will have an incredible time playing this game too.
Bugsnax is quite a fun game to play from start to finish. Unlocking the mysteries of Snaktooth Island, looking for missing Grumpuses, and completing quests is not the meat of the game though. It’s in the act of hunting and catching Bugsnax.
Chronos: Before the AshesPS4
All-in-all, Chronos: Before the Ashes is great. It had a decent combat mechanic, the puzzles are entertaining, the age mechanic is interesting, and the level design is phenomenal. It’s not the perfect souls-like title, but it’s one of the more decent ones you can play.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About TimePS4
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is equal parts fun and frustrating. One thing’s for sure with me though, it’s precision platforming is addicting. Whether you’re racing against the ghost Crash or surviving the Flashback tapes, when everything’s clicking at the right pace, there’s no greater feeling in gaming.
I wouldn’t say that this game is on par with all those high-caliber games we have right now but I can say that this game can stand on its own and can be very entertaining for the right person. I don’t think I ever had this much fun in a game that seems so simple on the surface but has real depth into it. If you’re looking for a game to jump into while you wait for the next big game, I say give this one a try and I’m sure you won’t regret it.
STAR WARS: SquadronsPS4
Star Wars: Squadrons provides a well-grounded, in-depth gameplay that hardcore fans and flight-simulator veterans will definitely appreciate. It may not have the strongest story in a Star Wars game, but it does wonders in space combat and gameplay, this is where Star Wars: Squadrons gets it right.
EA SPORTS FIFA 21PS4
It’s beautiful and a lot of action for all sports lovers out there. As I’ve mentioned in the beginning of this review, FIFA 2021 is a true testament to every fan of the game in the world—and that’s hugely important for a sport well beloved.
Serious Sam 4PC
To cap it all off, Serious Sam 4 has heart. It’s fun to play with at certain moments, and it’s too overbearing in others. This game is proof that more isn’t always merrier. It’s almost the video game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie. It’s good to look at, it has jaw-dropping moments, but it just lacks substance. The first few games of the franchise are proof that a game like this can be great. This title, however, is far from that.
WWE 2K BattlegroundsPS4
Hitting finishing moves, climbing up the top of a cage, and hitting your opponent with a motorcycle is fun and WWE 2K Battlegrounds lets you do that, but the overabundance of microtransactions from cosmetics to unlocking wrestlers is made worst by its lack of depth in combat. If I was the great wrestling analyst Dave Meltzer, I’d give this match only 2.5 stars out of 5.
13 Sentinels: Aegis RimPS4
If you’re willing to overlook its shortcomings, then 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim is definitely for you. There is definitely some questionable taste in gameplay and visual representation that I feel holds the game back, but it’s not a bad game in general. Atlus has always been great at storytelling. If you’re interested in their works, then I’d recommend you try out Persona 5 Royal and Catherine Full Body right after this one.
Mafia: Definitive EditionPS4
For series veterans and first-timers, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a labor of love for more than just the original game, but for the Mafia community whose support made this game possible. Series veterans will also take note of the changes in the story. The changes aren’t groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, just the framing of some story elements have been changed to make the story more in line with the current series of games.
Tell Me WhyPC
Tell Me Why is quite amazing. It’s very heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. It pulls you in nicely and makes you care for these characters. It makes you one of them. And while this is in no way a perfect game, it’s a fun ride from start to finish, and the players will surely be enticed with this title for its characters and story.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2PS4
If you’re still on the fence about getting this game, know it is comes with local 2 player split screen sessions. Not that many games come bundled in with local multiplayer anymore. This small detail gives more value to the experience, especially in the current year of 2020. This game just keeps on giving.
Ary and the Secret of SeasonsPS4
All-in-all, this could have been a game that you can just have fun with and not take seriously. It’s unfortunately riddled with a ton of game-breaking bugs that you’ll spend more time being frustrated and disappointed rather than actually having fun. It feels like a beta version, almost.
