Smash Legends is one of the best multiplayer brawlers we've played for a while, and there's more than enough here to keep you playing for a good long while
It might not be the most original game in the world, and the hands-off nature of the combat won’t be to everyone’s taste, but Infinite Galaxy has a solid and engaging core that, if it gets its claws into you, is going to leave you begging for more. Check it out by clicking here.
To that end, you get out of Plant Nanny 2 what you put in. If you approach it purely as a game, you’re doing it wrong. If, however, you take it seriously, give it the right information about yourself, and take a drink whenever it prompts you to, you’ll feel the benefit of proper hydration – and maybe have a bit of fun in the process.
The text is superbly localized, with none of the language errors that blight many of the RPGs that are brought to the West, and the narrative is genuinely engaging. Written in second person, it fleshes out the characters around you, and provides motivation going into battles. The side missions, which could so easily have been reduced to more cut and paste scraps, are brought to life by the stories that underpin them.
SphereKnight is an enjoyably challenging and authentically retro-feeling action RPG in which you play as a super-powered knight on a mission to save the cosmos. It comes highly recommended to genre fans and anyone who enjoys unique games.
USM’s Catan Universe lives up to its billing of being the “ultimate” digital version of Klaus Teuber’s classic board game. Longtime Catan fans will no doubt enjoy the wealth of content and features, while newcomers will appreciate just how accessible USM have made the game. Both the free base version and IAP extras come highly recommended.
Super Chuckie EggiOS
Ultimately though you’ll jump back in every time because Super Chuckie Egg is such a pleasant, charming, easygoing experience from beginning to end. From the richly detailed visuals and animations to the deceptively deep platforming gameplay, this is a great example of how to modernize a distinguished franchise.
I can honestly say Curling Buddies is the best curling-based video game I’ve ever played — and not just because it’s the only one! Intuitive controls, challenging gameplay, adorable visuals, and a cool unlockable zombie mode all make this one a joy to play. Pastille have outdone themselves once again!
Guardians Arena is a gloriously over-the-top and entertaining real-time PvP battler with great production values, addictive gameplay and tons of features and content.
Roto Strike is a simple yet seriously stunning and addictive arcade shooter. The gameâs kaleidoscopic visuals will captivate you while the action-packed and entertaining gameplay will keep you hooked until you complete all 40 levels. Highly recommended!
MaxDominator is a wonderfully clever and compelling combination of dominoes and Tetris. The game is perhaps a little lacking in the visual flair department, but it more than makes up for that with excitingly cerebral gameplay and a very generous amount of content. Well worth the $0.99 asking price.
Fun, fresh and impeccably polished, Soap Dodgem comes highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a challenging and content-packed puzzle game.
Neko Jump is a scrappily fun and endearingly absurd endless running romp that’s somewhat let down by a lack of polish and imprecise, floaty controls. It’s not perfect, but it is free, so you don’t really have anything to lose by checking it out.
Spree Pop is a stripped down, simple arcade shooter with fun game mechanics and colorful visuals. Delightfully easy to pick up and play but hard to put down.
Jesters Poker is a unique story-driven take on Texas Hold’em poker that features fun characters, vibrant visuals and accessible yet deep gameplay. Whether you’re a poker noob or pro, it’s well worth checking out.
The only thing about Inside Pete that isn’t impeccably polished is its titular character. This action-strategy romp is fun, funny, and looks lovely to boot. Give it a try for Pete’s sake!
Shup is a smashingly fun physics-based puzzle shooter that boasts pleasant visuals, great gameplay and tons of varied levels. Well worth giving a shot.
Beautifully imaginative visuals, simple yet challenging gameplay, and tons of fun unlockables make Dreamy Snakes a mussst-try game. Highly recommended to gamers of all ages, especially as it’s a free download.
Fidget Spinner CollectioniOS
Fidget Spinner Collection is a decent little time killer that revolves around collecting, upgrading and playing with fidget spinners. Much like the toys that inspired it, it’s a game that some will instantly write off as tedious and pointless, but that others will find hypnotically fun.
Steampumpkins: PvP CatapultiOS
Steampumpkins is a deliciously weird and action-packed artillery game that sees players around the world engaging in intense pumpkin-slinging duels. The core gameplay is wonderfully captivating, and the stylish steampunk-y aesthetic and impressive production values really help catapult the game to another level of special.
Bomb Bro’s isn’t the deepest or most polished game ever, but it more than makes up for any shortcomings by being ridiculously easy to pick up and explosively fun to play. The only real let down with this free-to-play arena-based shooter is that its multiplayer mode is a total ghost town at present.
Don’t let the cute aesthetics fool you: Slidey Feet is a whole lot more deep, challenging and complex than it looks. If you’re into puzzlers, you’ve simply got to check this unbelievably cool game out for yourself!
Pet Fish Rescue - Match 3iOS
Boasting an irresistibly cutesy aesthetic, adorable characters and fun gameplay, Pet Fish Rescue is an enjoyable match-3 puzzler that deserves to make a splash with younger mobile gamers.
This Mario Kart-alike is mildly fun while it lasts, but it doesn’t last long and doesn’t offer much in the way of extra content to keep you interested/playing.
Whoever said “you can’t improve on a masterpiece,” obviously hasn’t played Framed 2. This game cleverly and artfully builds on its predecessor’s most celebrated features — the innovative panel-switching mechanic, elaborate puzzle designs and comic book-inspired look and feel — while also going in its own direction with new characters and a more playful, caperish tone.
