Battlefield 2042 is definitely worth the purchase if you like any old Battlefield games or if you are a fan of FPS games and are looking for a completely different vibe; the huge maps really made this game way more fun for me, even though I have seen some people complaining about it I guess it’s just preference and opinions at the end of the day, but the Portal Mode is worth the price tag you can also get a 10 hour trial with EA Play of this game if you want to try it before you buy it.
King's Bounty IIPC
Kings Bounty II is a bold and ambitious sequel to a two-decade (going on three!) year old tactical based RPG that is adored by critics and fans alike, which successfully maintains the originals magic formula whilst revolutionising the series and propelling it to new heights.
ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the KnightsSwitch
Ender Lilies is a competently made Metroidvania type game – with gorgeous artwork, a sometimes hauntingly beautiful but subdued score and offering some challenging gameplay that rewards planning and being persistent.
A Plague Tale: InnocencePS5
It may seem like I am being overly harsh to A Plague Tale Innocence, a game that was only made by a small team of 40 people, by expecting it to meet the standards set by a title like The Last of Us. But I am pretty sure that the developers were well aware that these comparisons would be inevitable when they started working on the game.
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DXPS5
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is a well-intended but, unfortunately disappointing remake of a game that already suffered from frustrating game design and controls. The improvements and extras added to this version can’t overcome the shortcomings of the original – and certain baffling choices on behalf of the remake team even compound on those shortcomings, resulting in an even more frustrating experience.
NINJA GAIDEN: Master CollectionPS4
The collections total score would be a 6/10; they have great gameplay for the most part, but everything else just doesn’t consistently deliver to warrant a better score, and if 3 didn’t exist, this might have been a more recommendable game collection. Hopefully, if Ninja Gaiden 4 ever happens, and with Nioh 2’s director wanting it to happen, it can learn from the past mistakes, and improve everything to the same quality as current Team Ninja games.
In conclusion, Returnal makes for a great starting point in Housemarque’s AAA development. The gameplay is fantastic, and when it’s mixed with the exploration, it truly shines as one of the must-play Playstation 5 exclusives. Overall, it’s an 8/10 can’t wait to see what Housemarque does next, especially if they’re going to continue returnal as a franchise.
Sumire’s 2-3 hour runtime may feel too short for some. However, the substance and life lessons it provides long after the credits have been played make this a must-play for not only fans of the narrative-driven genre but for anyone in need of a new perspective predicated on hope, kindness and a desire to change the world for the better in a small way each day they’re blessed with the chance to live on this earth.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartPS5
On a personal level, I did miss some of the more iconic weapons, and perhaps I wanted a bit more of the story as it didn’t quite reach the dramatic highs of A Crack in Time’s story, but you can’t have it all I guess. If there’s any game out there justifying the purchase of a Playstation 5, then it’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Overall this is a fun and ambitious co-op spy game that my partner and I definitely recommend if you enjoy co-op games with friends or family. It’s also free to PS5 PlayStation Plus members currently!
Mighty Goose is one of those odd games that presents a wacky premise yet doesn’t go too crazy with it. While there’s a lot to love in the music, art style and gameplay, it’s held back by many issues that make it far too frustrating and unfair, along with lacking a tutorial, and despite not lasting too long, it also doesn’t leave a lasting impression.
Aerial_Knight's Never YieldPC
For a single developer-made indie game, I’d say they did a pretty good job. The art style, soundtrack were my favourite parts of the game. The gameplay is fine but maybe not quite my cup of tea. If it looks interesting to you, then go for it.
Star Wars Pinball VRPC
Star Wars Pinball VR is really a perfect game for any Pinball fans out there. I really hope that the next Pinball Game by Zen Studios turns out to be even better than this because there is just so much potential; what I am trying to say is that it is a great game, but it could have been way better with a few more features and a bit more complexity to the career mode however it is definitely worth a purchase.
Resident Evil VillagePS5
Ultimately what shall determine whether this game will be of your likeness or not is if your preferred focus for the series is on its tension, like the original trilogy and 7, or an action-filled ride as crazy as Resident Evil 4 and, while Village has aspects that can please fans of either approach, it’s the action for the most part but thankfully not over the top like Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.
Nioh 2 – The Complete EditionPC
Nioh 2 is an excellent game, filled with lots and varied content, which not only adds to the Souls-like genre while maintaining its personality as a franchise but also welcomes new players with its more friendly approach to its difficulty that doesn’t betray the ideals that made the genre such an eye-opener for the industry for both devs and players alike. While its PC port still isn’t perfect, it’s polished enough to be beatable from beginning to end with no game-breaking issues.
Narita boy has its flaws – it’s initial pacing, too much dry text exposition, perhaps too reliant on backtracking. But it shines in its presentation – both visual and audible – tied together by its fun combat and motivating you to continue to learn the creator’s backstory.
I would definitely recommend you to give the Balan Wonderworld a listen because it’s really pleasing and makes you feel calm even when you are not playing the game. Overall though, Balan Wonderworld is still an awful game and the worst one I have played this year so far; hopefully, it does not get any worse than this in the future but let’s see.
It Takes TwoPS4
In conclusion, It Takes Two manages to deliver everything a great co-op game should with the unexpected plot twists, consistently entertaining story and a great sense of humour. I can guarantee you that you and whoever you’ll play it takes two with will be fully entertained. It Takes Two is filled with fun levels and amazing gameplay with great setpieces. I cannot think of any issues I had while playing It Takes Two; this might as well be my Game of The Year so far, and I kind of doubt if any other game this year can be better but let’s see. I would definitely recommend you to buy It Takes Two.
Rogue Heroes: Ruins of TasosSwitch
If you’re a 2D Zelda fan like me, you’ll probably dig Rogue Heroes. With its familiar 2D graphics, art style and soundtrack, it oozes nostalgia. Yet, it leans a bit too much into the source of its inspiration for my taste. It doesn’t really have an identity of its own, and the things it does do differently are very limited and limiting. Yet there are still some moments – like riding that fish-like creature through the mud – that show it can rival the best in its “genre”. It’s by no means a substitute for the real thing, but it does scratch that particular Zelda itch, I guess- at least for a while.
The worst thing about Pumpkin Jack is the Combat System; it’s just spam a button until everything is dead; however, it’s passable for an 8-hour experience, but I still think a better Combat System could have improved the game massively. For a price of 29.99$, it is worth every penny, so buy it.
Speed Limit is a non-stop action experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves arcade games; it is not very story-heavy since it focuses more on the gameplay side so if you are looking for a great arcade game with a lot of action and features multiple genres, then please buy Speed Limit. I really want people to support this game, so the developers at GameChuck work on some DLC or a sequel. I should also mention that the main menu soundtrack is very relaxing and puts you in a certain mood where you feel like you are ready for a thrilling action experience.
The Medium feels like an attempt. With great ideas, the future seems bright for the Bloober Team, who already built the foundation for a potential sequel that can execute all of these ideas more cohesively and less redundantly. Its ideas – along with the nostalgic feeling that a new fixed camera angle game brings are worth giving the game a try if you do make sure to use headphones for a fairly better experience, but its flaws, lack of replayability value – and short duration aren’t worth full price, for current gamepass users it’s definitely an interesting game to check out.
If I could describe this game in one sentence, it would be as follows: The Pedestrian is a fantastic journey through the backdrop of the mundane. By making everyday backgrounds appear almost magical, and with its creative puzzle design, it never outlives its welcome. And yes, it is quite a short game, but it doesn’t feel too short. Solving the myriad of puzzles offered within this small package is fun, but even without the puzzles, the journey it takes you on alone is worth checking this game out. It’s safe to say that The Pedestrian is far from pedestrian.
Gods Will FallPS4
If you like Rogue-Lites, then I will recommend you to buy Gods Will Fall because it is one of the best Rogue-Lite/Action-RPG I have played in a while, even though it is way more challenging than the other ones I have played, but if you want to take on this challenge and want to defeat all the Gods so you can save the humans, please buy it. Gods Will Fall is not perfect. It has some minor issues such as lousy platforming, and sometimes it might not be fair to the player, but overall it is an amazing experience.
In conclusion, if you’re into environmental puzzle games, Iris. Fall will offer you a few hours of enjoyment. It doesn’t particularly stand out aside from a few interesting environments, but it’s compelling enough with its shadow traveling mechanics and the mood it sets. As mentioned, it is short though.
