Adventures of ManaiOS
There were many creative and well-thought out decisions that seemed to have gone into this title, and it was a pleasure to play through. If you like adventures, classic-style RPG’s, and magic, this will be worth your time.
All in all, this title has a lot going for it. In addition to the diverse puzzles, this game has a great sound track. There are multitudes of songs and energizing sound effects that help to bring the experience to a new level of immersion. The graphics are unique and have a fun hand-crafted look to them. The game has a lot to offer in regards to level and level-design diversity. It will certainly have something to offer to players of all ages, and can be an extended adventure for both casual and experienced gamers out there. At five dollars, the price might seem a little steep to some for a game, but it does offer a great deal of content and is sure to offer you an enjoyable challenge.
Whether or not you like Heroes Reborn, Enigma is a rewarding game overall. It may also turn you into a fan of the series as you get immersed into the world and intrigued by glimpses of the story sorted in this game experience. With 32 well thought out levels, you’ll have access to plenty of content for a reasonable price point.
Although the gameplay itself is extremely fun, the concept of the “boat” is the core element of the game. It doesn’t entirely make sense, but it’s goofy in a fun sort of way. As you progress, your boat will collect the monsters, recruit friends, and build up a massive boat in which you can’t help but feel like Noah and his arc.
If you are from the days of Mad Dog Mcree, Time Crisis or even Virtual Cop, I highly suggest you check out this stellar attempt at bringing accessible blockbuster action to the masses. Although at times it could feel repetitive, you’ll enjoy the game much more in shorter bursts of play.
Alto’s Adventure joins the visual ranks of the likes of Monument Valley, and although the gameplay is not as innovative, there is enough substance and evolution of the endless runner for an enjoyable adventure.
I personally had no issues or gripes with the game running on an iPad Air 1, gameplay is smooth and there us plenty of it to go around. I really had hoped, however, for another slice of narrative aside from the Tesla Towers because after these are conquered, there is little to do than explore. But hey, that’s what DLC is for right? Nevertheless, be sure to pick this up for an absolute bargain price with a ton of game time sure to put even the most dedicated gamers through their paces!
Tap Titans is a simple clicker that nails both the Clicker and RPG genre by keeping it simple yet holding an addicting nature, while being charming and sweet. It’s a shame the quick increase in difficulty almost demands you pay for in-app purchases, unless of course you wish to wait real time for money. Although its lacking the depth, the overall presentation makes up for the simplistic nature.
Kingdom Rush: Origins is a premium priced game with in-app purchases used towards unlocking heroes. Although heroes will be unlocked throughout the course of the game, you will definitely reap the defensive benefits from the stronger heroes. Kingdom Rush: Origins does not disappoint and has evolved the series significantly.
Earn to Die 2iOS
All in all, for a sequel to such a highly regarded title, Earn to Die 2 is not bad. Most of what made the original such an incredible ride remains, and despite my concerns, the game is still super fun. I just can’t help feeling like business decisions are interfering with game design.
The gameplay is almost identical to the Clash of Clans and doesn’t evolve enough to stand alone. Although it was creative, the new ideas were ruined by their dismal functionality. Had a better flight system been given to the dragons, they might have salvaged the experience. Like all Clash of Clans games, there is still a potential for a larger audience to enjoy this game, but a lot of work still needs to be done.
RETRY is just the new 8-bit challenge that we needed to get even further addicted into gaming. The influences of newer, more modern games such as Flappy Bird and older, more classic games such as Super Mario Bros. have proven to be great choices by the developers. With a long journey through the first world, and several more worlds coming from the developers in the near future, this game is bound to keep the fans busy for quite a long time.
Although it took me some time to accept, NBA 2K15 for mobile is not bad. Yes, there are a lot of flaws, but there is enough substance in this version for an enjoyable experience. If 2K can continue to evolve and experiment new ways to maximize touch controls, it’s only in due time we’ll have a polished NBA experience. Timing is everything, and I feel like NBA 2K15 was being worked on prematurely on a platform that is not quite ready for it.
Adrenaline Rush Miami DriveiOS
The music rarely changes and the missions repeat itself quite frequently. Unfortunately, this lack of variety greatly devalues its replayability. So if you’re bored right now and need a quick pick me up game, Adrenaline Rush: Miami Drive will give you a quick adrenaline for a short moment.
Kawaii Killer Plushy EditioniOS
To summarize Kawaii Killer is an essential purchase if you love quick fire rounds and interesting art design... So the choice is yours between Happy Tree Friends style bloodshed or cutesy fluffy stuffing balls being blown out sideways from the cute little critters’ heads!
Overall, Skullduggery! is an excellent blend of genres with intricate level designs to keep you interested. As mentioned, there are plenty of objectives to complete and things you will likely miss your first time around. Minus the moments of frustration on certain levels, I highly recommend giving this one a go.
Despite its new focus on tower defense, Anomaly Defenders is a worthy addition to the franchise and is a nice change of scenery. If you haven’t yet experienced an Anomaly game, you will be appreciate the high production value of this series and I highly recommend trying out all the games.
RGB Express - Mini Truck PuzzleiOS
Nonetheless, RGB Express is a great casual game to pick up and play. The fun presentation brings a youthful style, but is blended nicely with decently challenging gameplay.
Ultimately Diamond Digger is an interesting twist on the match-3 puzzle game, with casual gameplay but addictive features that’ll have you coming back for more. Although it’s impressions will not last quite as strong as Candy Crush Saga, it’s certainly a good alternative for casual puzzlers.
So if dancing between the lanes dodging enemies and collecting coins has become your favorite smartphone pass time and you’re willing to take the free-to-play good with the bad then Spider- Unlimited will be climbing it’s way to the top of your free-to-play list.
Etherlords is a free-to-play but luckily avoids the use of timers and I have yet to run into any true barriers. If you’re into card collecting and a light turn-based battle system, Etherlords is certainly worth giving it a round.
In terms of gameplay, other than learning about the different attack methods, the core objectives remain the same as the original Angry Birds. Whether you love the franchise or have become completely tired of it, Angry Birds Stella has enough gameplay substance to entertain everyone.
Ultimately Super Monkey Ball Bounce is a poor imitation of games such as Peggle and sacrifice any potential it had for fun and addictive gameplay by forcing the player into the buying the in-app purchases. The result is rather a Jekyll and Hyde situation, where the player can either enjoy themselves through power-ups and bonuses or be met with an insurmountable challenge.
