In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it's up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.

Super Mario RUN truly shines with a game that was designed from mobile, bringing incredible Mario graphics that are smooth and will bring back the kid in you, as well as excellent controls, and wonderful sound, with accessible gameplay for all gamers, regardless of age or experience. Here’s where Super Mario RUN truly fails: to play the game, you’ll need to have access to a constant and consistent internet connection, so there’s no playing on the subway or on the way to work, as well as a notably large file size and a thick $10 paywall.
This isn’t a grand, deep experience, but it has enough inventive twists on Mario platforming to remain fun for a few hours. The depth all depends on whether or not you can hardcore into colored coin collecting or deep into Toad Rally. For me, I didn’t get too into the latter. Mario Run is a fresh, novel take on the series for mobile devices, and even if it doesn’t totally stick the landing, it’s an engaging ride.
There is a good deal of activity available though, and the source material definitely gives this one a bit of mindshare.
